Did you know that our bodies were made to move?  Every organ of the body has its appointed work, upon the performance of which its development and strength depend.   The normal action of all the organs gives strength and vigor, while the tendency of disuse is toward decay and death.  If you don't use it, you lose it.  If you were to bind up an arm for a few weeks then free it from the bands, you will see that it is weaker and smaller than the one you have been using.  This is what happens in the body's muscular system as a result of inactivity.

Inactivity  is a cause of disease.  Exercise increases the circulation of the blood and causes an even flow of blood to the entire system.  When the blood is allowed to circulate freely, there are exchanges in it.  The removal of waste and the bringing of nourishment.  Without exercise, the skin also becomes inactive and impurities are not expelled as they would be if the circulation had been quickened by vigorous exercise.  In addition, when we exercise outdoors, which is the most ideal, the lungs are fed with plenty of pure, fresh air.

Even if  you have a chronic illness, and it is difficult for you to move around, it is best not to suspend all activity. Sometimes, when there has been serious overtaxation, entire rest for a time will ward off serious illness.

What's great is that exercise improves overall health and eye health.  It  lowers the risk of Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD), Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy and more.
